The Full Story
About Us
Guyana Awakening Movement is an affiliation/association/network of Christian individuals and bodies working together to see God's vision of revival, reformation, and transformation for Guyana come into manifestation. Its focus is to facilitate oneness in the kingdom agenda and convergence in kingdom expressions through partnership, support, and collaboration.
Recognizing that a fundamental challenge to the unity and cohesion of the Body of Christ in Guyana is the ethnic divide in society and even in the church, the Guyana Awakening team presented a model and workbook to approach this issue.
Central to the method and process of being a witness to and impacting the nation is the concept of the City Church. Following is a summary of the core component of the vision of the City Church as presented by Dr. C. Peter Morgan:
The Vision of the City Church
Today, we recognize that we are entering a new season when the cry of the city among the people have come up to God. And we can hear Him declaring: “Blow the trumpet in Zion, to sound the alarm in my holy mountain!” (Joel 2:1). It is a call for a new expression called the City Church to summon the people with a new hope, “The Kingdom of God is come.”
